Fear & Gratitude

I've said it time and again, my fear isn't going to Kenya, my fear is failing those that have supported and shown faith in me.  All I need to do is get through this fundraising event, make enough money to go above and beyond what I need, then I can relax and soak up and enjoy the excitement and anticipation that is building within me.
The past two weeks have seen a surge of donations... the generosity of people never fails to astound me on a near daily basis.  I'm receiving emails and Facebook messages with more generous contributions to make this an event a real success.

The iconic Lone Star restaurant in New Lynn has generously pledged a $100 meal voucher,
along with dinner, they are also throwing in a couple of their classic "Be Staunch Walk Tall" t-shirts
Lone Star's generosity doesn't stop there, they are also going to provide me with similar
promo t-shirts to wear whilst I'm in Kenya. And to top it off they are also providing "Free Meal discount vouchers for all guests at the auction"
Another item for the ladies rolled in this evening, the Agatha Paris fashion Jewellers in Vulcan Lane have also pledged a stunning item.  They are providing a necklace valued at $130:00 to the auction.  And just like Lone Star, Agatha Paris don't want anybody to go home empty handed.  They are too are providing vouchers to the value of $20:00 for first seventy people to arrive.

And with summer just around the corner, what family wouldn't love refreshing  drinks on hand when ever they wanted?  SodaStream, great for those classic mixers for Mum or Dad; tonic water, ginger ale, and cola or the kids favourites, raspberry, orange, lime and lemonade and so much more.  SodaStream New Zealand have generously donated their classic SodaStream Pure machine that retails at over $125:00.

I will never be able to truly express my gratitude to the people that have shown me support, especially those people that don't even know me... but tonight I realised something
"It is people like you, that make it possible for people like me to make that small difference in the lives of children whom otherwise may be forgotten"
Asante sana

"To whom much is given, much is expected.." - This Saturday morning is pay it back time... I will be spent helping a lady I've known for many years collect for the Multiple Sclerosis foundation, this silent disease is more prolific than many realise, and has effected a number of people in my life, if you're in Henderson please stop by The Warehouse Lincoln Road and drop a gold coin in the bucket...
