Yesterday I was honoured to receive a phone call asking my permission to allow my blog to be included on Jamie Fitzgerald's website - Inspiring Performance.
When I looked this morning, this is what I found.... PLEASE read it. The support I have received these last 3 months from friends and family has been outstanding, the level of belief and commitment shown to me by Jamie has moved me to tears more than once. www.inspiringperformance.co.nz/home,portfolio,,45,Finding+your+passion%2C+and+using+it+to+help+others.html
Only a few more days until this blog can return to what I originally intended it to be, a record of my journey to Kenya and to raise awareness of the lives less blessed than our own. It seems to have recently morphed into a list of thank you's and acknowledgments, but how can I let such kindness of spirit pass without acknowledging it? This too is all part of the journey, is it not?
Over a variety of posts I've used a number of amazing photos on this blog. Photos of just some of the children in the Nakuru IDP camp, Aberdare Ranges School and the Holding Hands Children's Home, I found them on the So They Can website, and used them because to me they captured the true essence of why I'm headed to Kenya... this morning via Facebook I inadvertently discovered the very talented young man who took these images. So I would like to credit the two images below (and many more I'm sure) to Jono Allen.
Jono I hope you don't mind me using your fantastic images, you have true talent and one that should be shared. Asante
