Interview

I was invited to speak to Room 17 at Pomaria School yesterday, the Inquiry Focus for Term 3 is Challenge, Room 17 have chosen to follow my challenge, to get to Kenya.

What a brilliant group of children to talk to, they were the perfect audience, with minimal bum shuffling and bouncing, more than I can say for many adults, and their questions were insightful, well thought out and interesting.  Full credit to their teacher, he's only a young man, in his second year of teaching, but you could see his passion and hard work is starting to pay off.

I must share with you, before I head off to the mayhem of school again, my favourite question, bearing in mind they have seen my interview in the Western Leader....

"Ms Edwards, do you REALLY have a giraffe? "

Asante
Jacq

PS:
I'm just loving the basic Swahili section of my Lonely Planet guide -
Phrase of the day: Choo kiko wapi? (Where's the toilet) Those who know me well, know this is the first thing I need to learn right after Jambo and Asante...
