Nobody Owes You Anything

Over the past six months I've tried to detach myself from people that think their past misfortunes give them the right to go through life with a "woah is me" attitude.  If there is one thing that really gets my back up, it's those that feel they are 'owed' something, that think life dealt them a raw deal so they let it permeate every facet of their life.

There is only person in this world that owes you anything, and that's YOU

If we don't Live Life, all we're doing is killing time... it's easier to sit back and wish, but much more satisfying to get off your arse and do...

My good friend the HC is a very generous person, who gives to a number worthy charities every month.  Over the years he's developed the opinion that by giving to others he's reciprocated with good in his own life, to the extent he believes that when he increases his donations, the positive knock on effect happens in his own life too.  Is this coincidence? Is this what some call Karma? or maybe just a state of mind? Or could it just be a nice little story? Who knows, but if it makes him happy and in turn helps others, can it be a bad thing?

Over the past few months with all the generosity that has been shown to me, I've been making a conscious effort to "give back."  I can't keep taking people's time, goods and money if I'm not prepared to give something in return.  And you know what the HC is right, the pay back is amazing.. I've been repaid with, more kindness, more blessings, more goodwill than I have known in a life time.

“Too many people go through life complaining about their problems. I've always believed that if you took one tenth the enrgy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you'd be surprised by how well things can work out.”
