If you don't have dreams or a 'Bucket List' as it's fondly been called over the years what have you got to aim for?
These past couple of months have totally changed my perspective on where I'm headed and what I want from my life. I think my parents are quietly whispering to each other "Jacq's having a mid-life crisis, if we humour her she will settle down again" if I am, so be it, lets face it I'm not driving around in a small red sports car, wearing lots of gold jewellery and dating 20 year old woman. (hmmm maybe that's because I'm not a 45 year old guy having a mid life crisis) but seriously, if what I'm doing is a mid life crisis, bring it on.
When I became a mother in August 1991 my concern above all else became my daughter, in 1993 that concern doubled. If my girls were unhappy with me going and fulfilling this dream I would have to rethink my choices. But I hope we raised them to understand life is multi faceted; it's not only about being the best you can be, about honesty, loving, caring and hardworking, it's also about being true to yourself fulfilling your dreams, not matter what your age. It's what I want for them, and it's what I want for myself too.
